An important development direction for the future of automotive industry is connected and cooperative vehicles. Some functionalities in traffic need cars to communicate with each other. In platooning, multiple driving succession reduce distances between them drive slipstream other drag, energy consumption, emissions, probability jams. The car front controls behind remotely, so all platoon can accelerate decelerate simultaneously. this paper, a system vehicle-to-vehicle communication proposed using modulated taillights transmission an off-the-shelf camera CMOS image sensor reception. Undersampled Differential Phase Shift On–Off Keying modulation method used transmit data. With frame sampling rate 30 FPS two individually taillights, raw data up 60 bits per second possible. Of course, such slow channel not applicable time-sensitive transmission. However, big benefit that identity sender message be verified, because it visible captured image.
